CONTROLLED PYROLYSIS with RATE CONTROL
|
| Pollution Control Products has been the
leader in thermal cleaning technology for nearly thirty years. Pollution
Control developed the Controlled Pyrolysis cleaning system using
patented methods of controlling temperature overheats or fires in
cleaning furnaces. We have delivered 6,000 systems to users worldwide.
With the ever increasing demand for jig, hanger, and part cleaning, and
with the increase of commercial contract cleaners, Pollution Control
have developed the RATE CONTROL system that overcomes the disadvantages
of ramp control, and similar conventional standard systems. RATE CONTROL monitors the rate of temperature increase in both the afterburner and primary cleaning chamber. Any time that the temperature increases at an excessive rate above the pre-programmed temperature profile, water mist is sprayed in the cleaning chamber to retard the rate of smoke evolution. The furnace temperature is held at a level that safely cures the paint or plastic until low temperature volatiles are consumed. Once safe, the temperature is allowed to increase to operating temperature normally in the range 430°C to 480°C to Pyrolysis the resins. RATE CONTROL provides the control to allow users to safely process materials that they have not been able to safely clean with heat in the past. The purpose of RATE CONTROL is speed and safety. Cleaning furnaces can be overloaded. If RATE CONTROL senses a situation inside the furnace that cannot be safely controlled by the primary control system, a high volume water spray is activated. If necessary, the primary burner is automatically shut off, the cleaning process stopped and can only be restarted by the operator after a safe temperature is reached. RATE CONTROL is also fully automatic with the Automatic-Time-Cycle that selects the proper cleaning cycle. The system will only run as long as necessary to clean the parts - No Longer.
