Rate Controlled™ Models

(For parts with up to 25% combustibles. Max 480°C)

Now you can strip parts with greater loads of combustibles

Rate Controlled™ models combine all the features of Controlled Pyrolysis with a system to activate much earlier in the cleaning cycle and detect overheating when it just starts to occur, allowing processing of materials that are difficult if not impossible to control, such as more volatile combustibles like oil soaked transformers, even partially-cured paint films on grates, and other hard-to-process materials. Some of these combustibles start to decompose at much lower temperatures than conventional materials and are more difficult to keep from igniting. The Rate Controlled™ System monitors three rates, the rate of rise of the furnace temperatures, the afterburner temperature and the rate of smoke emissions. Should any temperature increase too fast, the rate controllers will respond very quickly to activate the water mist system to restore proper and safe operation. The rate controllers are factory set, and require no operator input.
SPECIAL FEATURES OF Rate Controlled™ FURNACES

· Automatic Time Cycle runs the furnace only as long as it takes to process the load and no longer.
· No cycle time or ramp recipe to select…FULLY AUTOMATIC. STANDARD at no extra charge.
· Rate Controlled™ System processes larger loads in shorter times. STANDARD.
· Rate Controlled™ System processes more-volatile loads with digital controllers. STANDARD.
· Water Pressure Switch stops primary burner if water supply fails. STANDARD.
· Manual reset Over-temperature if Primary system fails.

Inert Gas Models
(For parts with up to 50% combustibles. Max 540°C)

The ultimate in safety… Can handle any combustible that can legally be removed with heat, even space-age engineering plastics.

Inert Gas models (U.S. patent 4,557,203) expand the Controlled Pyrolysis systems with enhanced abilities to clean parts with heat rather than with chemicals. Inert Gas models leave the primary burner on all the time to produce an oxygen-deficient atmosphere inside the furnace, i.e., and approximately 10% oxygen instead of the usual 21% as in the air. As oxygen is necessary for ignition of any combustible material, more difficult materials with greater volatilities can be safely processed in larger amounts. The furnace and stack temperature controllers each operate double water spray mists at double set points for maximum protection. Back-up water spray for clogged nozzles, automatic-reset high limit, manual-reset high limit, and diagnostic panels are included. Optional melt collectors shorten cycle times and fuel expenses as certain materials will melt and flow which do not have to be completely processed to be removed.
